Laura Collison, of Edmonton’s only feminist news radio show Adamant Eve, heard 5:30 Fridays on CJSR 88.5, brings us a feature that details the history of the women at the forefront of Alberta`s environmental movement. In her speech, Duncan spoke of the work of Mark Van Stolk and Louise Swift with Save Tomorrow Oppose Pollution, of Martha Kostuch and her willingness to take the government to court to enforce the law, as well as of Brenda Brochu and fight to prevent nuclear development in the Peace Country.

Duncan also talked about the need to hold Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment, accountable and pressure the Conservative government to pass Bill C-311, The Climate Change Accountability Act before the U.N. Conference in Copenhagen.
