The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins by Anna Tsing is about  mushrooms. Matsutake mushrooms, to be exact. But it's about a lot of other things too, including capitalism and hope for how we might live in a future marked by human destruction.
